What's to Come: 2011

A Bit of Me(Me) is hosted by Danielle of There's a Book.

I'm glad to be back doing this meme again. And it's a perfect week for me to jump in, because we are talking about the most anticipated event of 2011.  And for me, that just has to be:

My husband graduating from school.

Mind you, this graduation is actually leading to another three years of school.  But still.  Both of us are so happy to be leaving undergraduate work behind.

Which leads to the next anticipated event, which is moving.  I've lived in this state for all but about two years of my life and I am ready to try somewhere new.  Mind you, I am going to miss my Utah Bloggers and the fabulous socials we have about twice a year.  However, I am very happy for a change.

Where are you going, you may ask?  Well, that is currently unknown.  Alas, we are doing the Waiting Game.  Waiting to hear back from the schools we applied to.

So, that's really the big one for me.  It's kind of hard to plan for any other events when you don't know where you'll be in six months.  But, frankly, it's also kind of exciting.

Plus, wherever we go, there will be books and new bookish friends.  So, here's to a new year of adventures and reading!

What's your most anticipated event this year?

If you buy through my Amazon linkage, I will get a very small percentage

  3. You're moving? Now I'm sad! :( BUT... it will be good for you to "see the world" as they say. I'll be looking forward to hearing how things go and I'm so glad we can still keep in touch through blogging!

  5. Congrats on your husband's graduation!! I couldn't wait until I graduated (May 2010). Now my husband and I are both pursuing our Master's degrees...crazy, but well worth it.
Best of luck to you and your husband!

  6. Congratulations! How exciting! I'm actually kind of jealous...my hubby is just out of school about a year and a half ago. And though I do like being a little bit more stable, I really miss the adventure! It's so fun not knowing where you'll end up and the new people you'll meet. I just loved it! So yay! I can't wait to hear where you guys end up.

What type of schooling is he going into?

  7. Congratulations! I'm sure it's a relief to get the undergraduate work out of the way. Good luck with the big move. I hope it all works out just the way you want it to :)

    Small Review, thanks very much.

Suey, I know! I will have to find a great book club where we end up (or try to start one...ugh).

alisonwonderland, I'm trying to think positive about change - sometimes it just scares me though :)

Joys, I can't imagine both of us in school - I'm just glad I got my Masters before he started!

1stdaughter, he is going into physical therapy. Of course, here I am envying your graduated status. Figures :)

Susan, thanks! And it just might happen we move to Arizona...(that's where you are, right?)

  9. How exciting! I didn't realize you were in Utah! Between my husband and I we have earned five degrees during our marriage (yes, we were married young - the last degree being his PhD in Oct of 07) and WOW am I glad to be done. It's totally worth it though! Good for your family! Let us know where you'll end up :)

  10. Corinne, that is a LOT of degrees! I think we'll end up with three since we got married, but four total. I'm super excited to get that last one (hopefully) started .
