Literary Costume

Better start indoctrinating her while she's young :). Literary costumes are the best! Here's our very hungry caterpillar:

And the two pear(ent)s that she ate through:

Of course, for our church trunk or treat, I figured, why not?

Now I've got to decide what I can dress her as next year...

  1. so cute! I love the trunk or treat too :)

We did Pete the Cat and his (2) groovy buttons last year. Our buttons looked a lot like your pears. Simple and fun. This year the boy was the boy from Journey. We made him the chalk belt that the girl gets in Quest to kind of round out the costume. No one had a clue who he was, but we loved it!

    1. So fun! Literary costumes are so fun, even if people don't have a clue who you are (there were some who didn't know about the Hungry Caterpillar :)

  2. Oh my gosh, that is the CUTEST idea!! Hmm, I wonder if I could convince the older kids to be various food so the little one can be the caterpillar....
I'm pinning this for the idea, by the way. :D

    1. Oh it would be so cute to have a whole family of kids do this! You'll have to let me know if you do it next year.
