Needis what drives a stranger to follow Zara from Charleston all the way to chilly Maine. Zara, who is still reeling from her father's death, is caught up in strange disappearances and numerous new friends at her school who are more than they appear to be. Will she be able to face her darkest fears and survive a confrontation with the stranger?
Things I liked:
Some of the humor was well done. A few of the characters were interesting and even likable. The storyline wasn't too bad, either, though not terribly thrilling.
Things I didn't like:
I have to admit, this seemed like a big-time Twilight spin off. The stories were very similar in places. I saw through most of the ploys and plot twists were easy to spot a ways off. The dialog between teenagers was simply unbelievable. I really had a hard time with it. Some of the phrases seemed off in an undefinable way. The first two-thirds of the book were not very interesting. It did finally pick up a bit near the end, but I still wasn't that interested. Overall, I was disappointed.
Read-alikes:
If you loved Twilightby Stephenie Meyer, you might like this
Similar to Wings by Aprilynne Pike and Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr
