Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish
Since I've already posted my Top 12 Picks of 2012, I thought I'd tweak this week's topic just a bit and post about my favorite covers from 2012. I haven't read all of these books, or even necessarily loved the ones I've read, but these covers really stood out to me. And looking over it now, I obviously have a tendency to love red or blue covers...
What covers (or books) have blown you away this year?
If you buy through my Amazon linkage, I will get a very small percentage
CINDER's cover is my favorite. :)
ReplyDeleteIt really is so perfect for the story.
DeleteOoh. Nice tweak. I particularly love the EVERNEATH cover.
ReplyDeleteThere is something so awesome about the dress and the smoke and the colors. Ah, I could sit and admire it all day!
DeleteThese are all great covers. How funny that they're all red or blue (or both). I have no idea what Wonder is about, but I think the cover's really cool. :)
ReplyDeleteWonder's cover represents very well what the book is about, a boy with a severe facial deformity. Definitely worth a read, by the way.
DeleteI haven't read any of these books, but a lot of them are ones I want to read. In fact, I just checked out Cinder the audiobook. I'm excited to start that one.
ReplyDeleteOoh, I've heard the audio is excellent - hope you enjoy it!
DeleteGreat idea! I may have to borrow it next week. I would put The Raven Boys and The Name of the Star to mine. Cinder will be way up at the top too!
ReplyDeleteThe Name of the Star had a very beautiful cover too (red, as I recall :).
DeleteI agree on Brodi Ashton's covers -- they're SO pretty! Haven't read the books, but the covers are definitely alluring.
ReplyDeleteYou should give the books a try too, but she really hit it well with those cover!
DeleteI really want to read A Million Suns, but I'm waiting until Shades of Earth comes out! Here’s my TTT list: http://aliceinreaderland.wordpress.com/2012/12/17/top-books/
ReplyDeleteAlice @ Alice in Readerland
Good idea - I've been painfully waiting for that third book for AGES!
DeleteI also love the covers for Everneath, Cinder, and Girl of Nightmares. :)
ReplyDeleteSomething about those gorgeous red covers really draws me in!
DeleteCinder has a cool cover. I also liked the cover of The Raven Boys; the art was so amazing. And The Diviners. And Seraphina. And possibly The Hero's Guide to Saving Your Kingdom. Bitterblue's cover is supercool too.
ReplyDeleteOh, Hero's Guide! I forgot how awesome those illustrations are. And I almost put Seraphina on this list, but ran out of room :(
DeleteYour list looks great! Unfortunately, I've only read Cinder out of all of your picks, but nearly all of them are on my TBR. Thanks for sharing and for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteI haven't read all of them either, as I mentioned above, but the covers really stood out to me. And Cinder is a great place to start :)
