Where We Went

I just know that my dozens of readers noticed my web absence this weekend (ha ha).  I thought I'd still post about where we went and what we did, because I'm still recovering and it might be a bit before I get back into the swing of things.  So, we were...

Checking out rock piles

 Hiking steep mountains

Keeping rocks from falling

Generally enjoying the view

Oh, and hanging out on bridges

What did you do this weekend?

If you buy through my Amazon linkage, I will get a very small percentage

    1. I probably should have done yard work. It's getting a bit scary outside. :) Hopefully you'll have more time for fun and reading this weekend!

  5. Looks absolutely beautiful and a lot of fun. I'm glad you had a good time! Where is that? Southern Utah? Or somewhere in Arizona?

    1. It is Sedona, AZ. It looks a lot like Southern Utah, though, which is one reason I love to go there! Red rock gets me every time :)

  6. Sedona is SO pretty. We spent a weekend there around Christmastime and it was perfect with cool weather and beautiful Fall colors. I'm glad you got to enjoy some time away!

    1. I'm really impressed with it, though it got a little too busy on Saturday. I'd like to visit in the fall!

  7. Hey! I just noticed you're sitting on a natural bridge -- they don't let you do that at Arches!!

I've heard there's some beautiful slot canyons in Arizona too. Silly me, imagining it's all barren wasteland with a few cities run by giant air conditioners ...

    1. The northern areas are definitely filled with beautiful places, but where we live it's pretty much the A/C wasteland :)

  8. That top one looked a little like Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs. Looks like a gret weekend.

    1. And see, I take WAY too many photos. It's a joke for my husband to look back and find me taking random photos while we hike.
