I loved this display of some art from Eric Carle, even though the lighting made it impossible to get a good photo (not to mention, I was taking photos on my phone).
I've noticed that glass elevators tend to be very popular in libraries. It makes for an interesting view on the way up and down. (There is also a pool at the base of the elevators, but my photo of it was really bad. Just know, it was cool.)
The interesting shade sails on the outside - they certainly make for some great photos, inside and out.
I love libraries anyway, but housing all that book-ish goodness inside a soaring gorgeous structure just makes it more enjoyable.

This is gorgeous! I'm so jealous that this is your library. My local library was started just three years ago and is awfully squee. But we have to start somewhere, right?
ReplyDeleteThis isn't my true local library - this is the main branch of the Phoenix system. I wish it were! My local is pretty small too. But, it is much closer to where I live.

DeleteI think it is very interesting to look at a blog post and see something I have actually been to. I was just at this library for a book signing a few weeks ago. It was pretty but I would have liked more time there to really check the place out.

ReplyDeleteI loved the Eric Carle stuff too, and the lego characters, which I didn't take a picture of, but were much more interesting to kids than the Eric Carle illustrations :)
